| 12/30/07 ~ Hike didn't want 2007 to end without another entry in Hike News...today he earned 4 more MACH points out of Excellent Standard! 12/9/07 ~ Mack and Jeremy finished their RA!!! Way to go boys!!! 12/8/07 ~ Mack and Jeremy won their Novice A class, which also earned them the High Scoring Rottweiler and High Scoring Dog from the Working Group awards!!! They also earned their second RA leg with a 4th place, and won the Wildcard Open class!!! 11/30/07 ~ Mack and Jeremy earned another 198.5 out of Novice obedience and were in a run-off for HIT at the very competitive obedience trial in Long Beach, California that preceeds the Invitational!!! They also earned the first leg of their RA title!!! 11/18/07 ~ Hike earned another 8 MACH points out of Excellent JWW and a 4th place!!! Good job little man! 11/17/07 ~ Mack and Jeremy earned another 198.5 out of Novice A obedience and won their class!!! Hike earned 8 more MACH points out of JWW!!! 11/11/07 ~ Hike earned his 13th Double Q, 13 MACH points out of Excellent Standard and 5 points out of Excellent JWW!!! 11/10/07 ~ Hike earned 8 more MACH points out of Excellent JWW!!! 10/28/07 ~ Annie earned her first RAE leg and a 4th place!!! Hike earned his 12th Double Q and 18 more MACH points!!! 10/20/07 ~ Mack and Jeremy completed their CD in style with another FIRST PLACE!!! They also completed their RN with a FIRST PLACE!!! Way to go boys! 10/19/07 ~ Mack goes HIGH IN TRIAL out of Novice A obedience with a score of 198.5 at the ARC Region VI specialty in Pleasanton, California!!! Then, Mack & Jeremy won the Rally Novice A class with a perfect score of 100!!!! What a great day for them!!! 9/30/07 ~ Hike earned 10 points out of Excellent Standard and 5 points out of Excellent JWW - and his 11th Double Q!!! 9/29/07 ~ Annie completed her CD with a 3rd place!!! Hike earned 8 more MACH points out of Excellent JWW!!! 9/23/07 ~ At the Australian Cattle Dog National Specialty, Hike earned a FIRST PLACE in Excellent Standard and 20 more MACH points!!! 9/22/07 ~ Hike earned 11 points out of Excellent Standard, and a 4th place with 8 points out of Excellent JWW. Another Double Q for Hike!!! 9/16/07 ~ Hike earned 8 more MACH points and received a third place out of Excellent JWW!!! Baby Race was measured for her permanent AKC height card - won't be long now 'til she joins in the fun at the trials!!! Annie earned the second leg of her Herding Started title!!! 9/15/07 ~ Annie earned the first leg of her Herding Started title!!! After 3 months off, Hike came back with a bang and earned 12 more MACH points out of Excellent Standard!!! 9/2/07 ~ Carley and Stephanie won the Rally Excellent class AND the Novice obedience class...what a wonderful weekend for them! 9/1/07 ~ Carley finished her RE with a second place!!! 8/31/07 ~ Carley finished her CD today with another first place!!! She also earned the "High Scoring Dog from the Working Group" and "High Scoring Local Dog" awards!!! EXCELLENT job Carley and Stephanie!!! 7/22/07 ~ Annie did us proud today -- again!!! She and mom Mary earned their second CD leg with a FIRST PLACE and a score of 197!!! 7/21/07 ~ Annie earned the first leg of her CD with a 2nd place! And, she passed her CERF eye exam!!! Carley is a CHIC girl, having taken (and passed!) the required 4 health checks: hips, elbows, eyes and heart!!! 6/24/07 ~ Annie completed her PT!!! Way to go Mary and Annie!!! Carley and Steph continued their winning ways -- they earned Carley's second RE leg with a FIRST PLACE!!! And, Carley passed her OFA cardiac exam, too!!! 6/23/07 ~ Annie earned her first PT leg!!! 6/22/07 ~ Carley earned her second CD leg with another FIRST PLACE!!! 6/17/07 ~ Hike earned 7 more MACH points out of Excellent JWW and a 4th place! New pics of Baby Lance on his page! 6/9/07 ~ Mack passed his TDI (Therapy Dog International) test today!!! 6/2/07 ~ It's Christmas in June at Double Take!!! Carley and Stephanie, their first time out at an AKC all-breed obedience trial in the Novice ring, went all the way to HIGH IN TRIAL!!! For an encore, they went on to earn a FIRST PLACE in Rally Excellent for their first leg!!! We are sooooooooooo proud of you Carley and Steph! 5/27/07 ~ Hike earned his 9th Double Q and 14 more MACH points!!! 5/26/07 ~ Hike earned his 8th Double Q and 12 more MACH points! 5/25/07 ~ Payton earned her 3rd MXJ leg and 3 more MACH points! Hike earned 7 more MACH points out of Excellent JWW! 5/24/07 ~ Big news from the GSRC Specialty! Mack and Jeremy earned a 195 and FIRST PLACE their very first time in Novice A obedience!!! AND, they received another FIRST PLACE their very first time in Novice A Rally!!! 5/22/07 ~ Carley attended the Montana State 4-H show with her young handler, Stephanie and they did very well! They earned a FIRST PLACE from the Novice Obedience class with a 196!!! (This is even more amazing when you take into account that the barn cat had it in for Carley and was trying very hard to get her to lose focus!) They then went on to be named High Scoring Overall Novice Dog!!! They also earned a second place from the Showmanship class!!! We are soooooooooooooo proud of this team and look forward to seeing even more accomplishments this year as they have big, big plans! Stay tuned... 5/15/07 ~ New agility pics on Payton's page and new herding pics on Annie's page. 5/13/07 ~ Payton earned her first Novice FAST leg and a 3rd place!!! Hike earned 18 more MACH points and a 2nd place out of Excellent Standard!!! 5/12/07 ~ Hike earned 10 more MACH points out of Excellent Standard. But the BIG NEWS of the day is that Miss Payton did a BEAUTIFUL teeter performance in competition!!! It has been a long time coming...since she hurt her toe on the teeter long ago. We have been training very hard and this was her first try in competition...and she did it!!! Way to go Payti!!! A few more times in the FAST class where we can practice the teeter easily and then I think we'll be out in the Standard classes at last...fingers crossed!!! 5/2/07 ~ We've added a new Healthy Home section to our Links Page that you might want to check out. 4/29/07 ~ Payton's daughter Annie completed her JHD!!! You can watch Mary and Annie's run on YouTube. 4/24/07 ~ New herding pics of Annie on her page! 4/20-22/07 ~ I had the pleasure of attending the NAIA Summit. This is by far the best conference I've ever attended. There was a wealth of information presented by people at the top of their fields...all geared to teaching us how to maintain the right to keep our pets, and how to increase the quality of life for companion animals. If you have not visited the NAIA site before, please take a moment to do so. You will find a lot of quality, useful information there. 4/16/07 ~ Happy 9th Birthday Mags!!! 4/5/07 ~ Pepper (Multi-BIS/BISS, V-1, Select-1, CH Pepperhaus Praetorian, CD, CGC, High in Trial) was awarded his Gold Production award at the 2007 American Rottweiler Club National Specialty! We are so proud of you Papa Pepper!!! Congratulations to Jan and Terry Kerrigan, Pepper's proud mom and dad... 4/2/07 ~ Received the news that Payton's daughter Carley has OFA "Good" hips and OFA "Normal" elbows!!! 3/25/07 ~ Hike finished his MX today!!! And, he got a Double Q!!! He also earned a 4th place out of Standard (9 points) and 2nd place out of JWW (12 points)!!! Not to be outdone by her brother, Miss Payton earned an MXJ leg, a 4th place and her very first 3 MACH points!!! 3/24/07 ~ Hike earned 8 more MACH points and his 9th MX leg -- also earning a 3rd place!!! 3/18/07 ~ Hike earned 9 more MACH points out of Excellent JWW! That's 42 points for the weekend! And, one Double Q...good boy little man! Payton earned her first MXJ leg! 3/17/07 ~ Payton finished her AXJ title with a 3rd place!!! Tomorrow she gets to play with the big kids in the "B" class! Hike earned 8 more MACH points out of Excellent JWW!!! Way to go babies!!! 3/16/07 ~ Hike earned his 8th MX leg, 25 more MACH points and got another Double Q! Payton earned her second Excellent Jumpers leg with a 2nd place! 3/11/07 ~ Congratulations to our friends Terri Pope and Jet on completing their UDX in style with a High in Trial and High Combined! 2/22/07 ~ Mack and Jeremy went to their very first carting test. They earned their Carting Started (CS) title with a perfect 200 and first place. Then, went back in and earned their Carting Intermediate (CI) title. THEN, they learned that their CS performance earned them a Reserve High in Test!!! Cool pic of Mack on his page being filmed by a TV station that attended the test to cover the story. 2/17-18/07 ~ Hike earned 25 more MACH points, earned another Double Q, and another MX leg!!! 2/4/07 ~ Hike earned 9 more MACH points out of Excellent JWW!!! Payton didn't "Q", but we had loads of fun and got a great pic that captures her "zest for life" in the weaves (on her page)! 1/16/07 ~ Let it Snow!!!
