"Connor"
Connor was born on August 25, 1993.  Since then, he and I (Lori) have had such fun together.  He is my most faithful friend and companion.  He knows everything there is to know about me.  He's helped me survive many bad things and has helped me enjoy many good things.  Connor was on his way to a breed championship, but that wasn't where my heart was.  I wanted to focus on his obedience career, which he dearly loved.  Connor and I qualified twice to compete in the Gaines Western Regional.  We were lucky enough to place in the Open Division in 1999.  We completed his UD just before his 8th birthday...earning all first placements.  Connor made many friends in the obedience world and made many who do not like Rottweilers change their mind -- at least for him anyway.   He is retired now and our adventures are no longer in a show ring, but rather out on our walks, or snuggling at home, or going for an icecream, or to the beach.  He is my forever friend...

Connor was there for the happiest day of my life -- the day Todd and I got married.  Of course I had to have my Connor there in a place of honor -- he was the proud ring bearer.  He wore a necklace made of ribbons the colors of our wedding (sage and mauve) and sewn in that was a silver necklace Todd gave me back in high school when we were together the first time.  Our rings were hanging from this necklace.  Connor laid quietly at my side during the entire ceremony.  He knew his job was important.  At the right time, he got up so I could take the necklace with the rings off of his beautiful, proud neck.  He enjoyed the whole thing, but I think his favorite part was when he got to have a big piece of wedding cake!  Having my "Boom" there to share the day made it that much more special.

Connor and I finishing his UD with a first place.  It was a rainy, blowing day, but that didn't stop Connor from getting the job done...  I could always count on my boy to give it his best.  Connor completed his UD with all first placements.
